Dragonfly Sugar Cookies

It’s that time of year again!  Every October I donate 100 dragonfly cookies to the Unravel Pediatric Cancer Mama’s Night Out.  Unravel is an organization focused on raising awareness about the lack of funding for pediatric cancer research.  Their Mama’s Night Out events are held at multiple cities throughout the year.  It is a wonderful event with lots of food, prizes, vendors, and speeches.  I highly recommend attending one if you ever have the opportunity to attend.

Last year I tried out a metallic gold technique that I found on Pinterest.  It was easy to do and turned out great!  I have a favorite sugar cookie recipe (easy and yummy) that I will share in a future post.  Unravel’s theme is dragonflies and their colors are hot pink, orange, and gold.  I used vanilla extract with gold luster dust to create the metallic gold dragonlfy body.
